I'm a cancer survivor. My medical problems were exacerbated by being uninsured, which caused a growing snowball that totally hijacked my life. It took a while but I subdued the hijackers, and came out the other end strengthened but a bit cynical. One of the many good things that's come out of it all, though, is that I keep meeting great people who have walked in more or less the same shoes, and who have their own tales to tell. I'm nuts for all the arts, but work primarily as an editor, with some lengthy and harrowing detours into the fashion industry.
