What happens when you mix a group of twenty-something women, a bottle of Chardonnay and a camera? A lot of offensive comments. (laughs) The reason we use the Chardonnay is to get the girls more relaxed, open and honest when talking about their experiences in sex, love or life in general. Normally it's just a bunch of giggles and good times, and it works out to be a really fun four-minute show.
We're really lucky that we stumbled upon a great team somehow. I think the stars were aligned. We actually have three male cameramen and two male producers mixed in too. Everyone there makes us feel so comfortable and the guys in the room are never leering at us or making inappropriate comments. Since you need to be able to talk about your intimate experiences in your twenties, we made a point of picking girls who are not introverted. We need girls who can talk.
The guests are a group of my girlfriends, ranging from some I just met, to others that I've known all my life. In terms of who is tuning in, we have a lot of men watching, and in fact, most of the comments I receive about the show are from men. They appreciate the fly-on-the-wall quality of the show and they like to refer to it as 'cheat notes.' Ultimately we'd love to sell the show to television, but right now we're just looking to get sponsors involved, get more viewers and bring it to another level.
Of course the topic that keeps coming up again and again is - you guessed it - SEX! (laughs) That's the big underlying theme here.
