No Need For Orato To Change Headline

Orato.com allows us to post in "our own words." First person story. Or so I thought. Imagine my surprise when I found they edited my title! The title they used I was going to use but decided against it as I wasn't happy with it.

"Citizen News: Your stories. Your words"-Orato.com.

This comment could be in the rants secton but I can't be bothered right now to post there I'm posting here.

Today I posted a story on going alone to a concert. I entitled it "Go By Yourself to Any Event--Believe Me I Know That's Not Easy."

Later while preparing for another post on another topic I was surprised and am in fact vey pissed off that Orato changed the headline to "Going Solo Isn't That Easy." Did I swear in my title? NO! Did I attack anyone in my title? NO!

Orato claims we are allowed to use our own words. Really? You could've fooled me!

Okay thanks Robyn. If I had known the reason I wouldn't have liked it but I wouldn't have been as mad about the need for a title change and I would have said "go ahead, change it if necessary." I realize it's impossible to correspond with everyone on here but may I make a suggestion please? Next time you need to change a headline, please let the person know why(to make room to be included in Top 5 or for whatever other reason).

I've blogged on numeous blogsites with only so much room for a subject so I know sometimes it's necessary to change it.
But you did do me one favour though. I write better when I get mad. And I was on what you could say "writer's block". Have to go to work now so the numerous topics and posts have to wait until later though.
Thanks again!

Hey John,

Just wanted to let you know that the title of your story is back its original. It was changed because the length of the title was too long for us to feature it in the top five of the category.
