Bol Kong is one of Canada's best basketball talents. After escaping war-torn Sudan over a decade ago, Kong came to Canada to start a new life. The 6-foot-7 phenom was introduced to basketball, quickly becoming one of the country's most highly touted prospects. With widespread desire from collegiate powerhouses south of the border, Kong's basketball destiny lay before him. However, his dreams were put on hold not because of grades or injury, but his nationality. This is a story of a young man's struggle to realize his dreams and reach a level of competition he knows he's capable of.

It is understandably prudent to scrutinize lineage and possible terrorist ties, but if this really is a case of "guilt by association" one can only imagine the frustration of one's destiny being shaped by where you're from as opposed to where you want to go. Compelling story.
