why Orato upset me when they changed my headline in another story.

A couple days ago I made it very clear I was upset with Orato. They changed a headline of mine. Well those who know me know it's very rarely I get angry and I am a very easy-going person who is so mellow I'm very good at not showing my emotions. No it's not a male pride thing folks. I usually figure "if I can't change it I don't worry about it"(no matter the issue).

I was angry partly because I thought it was censorship. I was wrong! Not censorship at all. But even that wasn't what got me mad really. Well not the major reason. One of the reasons I joined Orato was because I like they allow Citizen Journalists to use "your words."

Less than half-hour before I saw the headline change I contacted Toronto Mayor David Miller's office trying to get Mayor Miller to give his side of the trying to ban guns issue in Canada. Still waiting for a reply. For those who don't know, Mayor Miller and Toronto City Council have been on a mission to ban guns and gun clubs and have a petition for people to sign. The petition will then be taken to Ottawa trying to get the Canadian federal government to ban guns.

While I don't think that is going about it the right way, my opinion this time in this instance really doesn't count(that's the first and last time you'll hear me say that!). I promised Mayor Miller that anything the mainstream media may not have reported on, on this issue, I would not edit as he'd be allowed to defend his position to the critics in his words. And I would not comment allowing him to defend himself if there's anything to add.
