It was one of those rare moments I had some time, though not much, to go to a Sharon Musgrave concert. She plays smooth jazz, R&B, pop and reggae.
Unfortunately I couldn't stay for the whole performance as I had to head to work but since it was very close to my workplace I decided to drop by at the place she was performing that night.(SPACCO in Oakville). I actually enjoyed the show. And she has a great voice. Just wish I could've stayed longer.
While there, a rather large and noisy crowd were ignoring her and her singing the entire time. And they were practically seated at the front.
Sharon was very professional and continued singing but I felt bad for her.
I thought those people were just plain rude. I don't care if they weren't there to see her at all and were there celebrating whatever the hell they were celebrating.
If you're going to sit near the front at least have the courtesy to listen to whoever's on stage. If not, then don't stay near the front and celebrate elsewhere and let the rest of us enjoy the show!
