After a 14 year hiatus, growth spurts, wives, kids, bad reality shows, and somewhat successful solo careers.... THEY ARE BACK! The Fab 5 of the late 80s early 90s are back!
It'S New Kids On The Block!
With their knee-melting harmonies and new age choreography (a la JT and Usher), the boys (or men) are in better shape then ever! The NKOTB new release "Summertime" is available on iTunes and it warms the heart to know the guys have gone back to their original sound.
The Boston-born babes are humbled to be back and even more stoked that they haven't lost their following! You can check out Blogs on their site www.nkotb.com.
I've got to admit, I was a little skeptical when I first heard that they are going to be in town this Sunday at the MMVAs (Much Music Video Awards). Luckily for me, I'm a five minute walk away and although I've listened from my deck the past two years, this year I might actually venture out. You can bet I'll have a silly girly grin on, and possibly a tear in my eye, much like the one I had at my very first concert ever November 10th, 1990 when I saw NKOTB for the very first time. When Joey Mac started singing "Please Don't Go, Girl" I was glued to my seat and was not going ANYWHERE!
I'm sitting at home laughing to myself right now, thinking back on all the NKOTB stuff I used to own.
